Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life, and it’s important to make sure that every single detail of your day reflects that. One way to do so? Adding the sophisticated beauty of calligraphy. And by making sure you choose the best calligraphy wedding stationery and signage for each part of your ceremony and reception, you’ll be able to create an unforgettable experience that you and your guests will remember forever.
1. Large signage - A lot of people overlook the importance of a hand lettered welcome signs and seating plans a.k.a table plans for weddings. Mirrored signage with white lettering are by far the most attention grabbing when it comes to large signage. An elegant seating plan can also be used as a charming welcome sign - an excellent way to save money on decorations by merging your ceremony sign with the seating chart.
2. Place cards a.k.a name cards - Agate slices (real or resin), textured card stock or acrylic cut outs with a painted backing, are all great ways to add visual interest to your guests place setting on their tables. If you’re going for a more modern look with your place cards, consider the use of gold leaf too. When it comes to wedding stationery, gold is a very popular choice overall and I can understand why!
3. Order of service booklets - Order of service booklets are most typical for church wedding ceremony and they a good way to know what is to be expected at each point in your ceremony. This will not only help you but also help your guests follow proceedings during the service. Hymns and prayers are usually sung/read, and if you don’t have an order of service booklets available, they may be hard to follow along if you're not a regular church go-er. It may seem like extra work when planning your big day but we guarantee it will be worth it and your guests will feel more involved during your ceremony.
4. Bridal party hangers - For your bridal party, you can go for custom hangers with their names on it, add/or with their role in the wedding i.e 'maid of honour' etc. It's also usual to add your wedding date. These hangers are a lovely keepsake item too, something hanging in your wardrobe to always remember your special day. It may be a good idea to get a custom hanger for your husband too, so he is less likely to forget the date of your big day!!
5. Vow books - Unique vow books are such a beautiful memento of your day, and they also make a striking visual statement as you stand opposite your better half, saying your vows. The most common style of vow books I create for couples include beautiful textured card with gold ink and ribbon tied in a bow down one side in a colour which complements the colour scheme well.
